Fried Fish-Paste Ball


For fried fish-plate balls

  • 300 grams fresh fish
  • 3 tablespoons red curry paste
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cane sugar
  • 1 cup chopped basil
  • 1 cup chopped long bean
  • Vegetable oil

For fried fish patty sauce

  • ½ cup sweet sauce or plum sauce
  • 2 fresh cucumbers
  • Fresh chili slices

Cooking Instructions

  1. Blend fish meat with red curry sauce, knead until well mixed.
  2. Add fish sauce and cane sugar, knead again.
  3. Add basil and long bean, blend well.
  4. Shape the mixture into balls about size of your thumb.
  5. Heat the vegetable oil and deep fried the patties.
  6. When done, serve with sweet sauce mixed with sliced cucumbers and sliced chili.
